Green Diamond Grant Enables New Bridge Class to be Piloted at Sound Learning Starting July 10th, 201

Thanks to a generous grant from Green Diamond Resources and donations from private individuals we are able to pilot a new Bridge class. The bridge class is designed to "bridge" the gap for students who are between the advanced level of the English Language Acquisition (ELA) program and the beginning level of the Adult Basic Education (ABE) program.

Sound Learning is expanding the classes we offer beginning with our Summer Quarter. On July 10th we will begin a new class designed to help advanced English Language Learners to progress towards Adult Basic Education (ABE), a High School Diploma or a GED certificate.

This class is built around the skills that students have acquired during their time in the ELA program. When students complete the program most will move on to ABE classes but some find that they still need a little more help before they are ready for the full ABE program. That's where the Bridge class comes in to play. The instructors will assess the student's needs and design a plan to help them progress to the next level of their education.
