English Language Acquisition (ELA)

Facilitated by our instructors in collaboration with community volunteers who were trained by Sound Learning, this small group tutoring model emphasizes English conversation, reading, and writing skills, while focusing on issues of importance to language learners such as: health care, employment, emergencies, immigration, and housing.

Classes are held at CHOICE High School on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings. Classes are designed to allow the student to begin learning immediately.  One-on-one and small group tutoring options are also available.
